My friends, one of the most shocking things that can possibly happen is to wake up to find out that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not what we have believed at all and that we have not heard it. And that what we have believed is exactly the opposite of what the Bible says and what Jesus actually taught. Here’s one reason. As we’re going through the New Testament again summarizing the teaching of Jesus, the example that He set. In the 5th chapter of John and verse 42, to the point to which we had come going through Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Jesus said here, “I am come in my Father’s name, and you receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him you will receive.” – “I am come in my Father’s name, but you don’t receive me.” He came from God. …

Herbert W. Armstrong (July 31, 1892 – January 16, 1986) founded the Worldwide Church of God in the late 1930s, as well as Ambassador College in 1946, and was an early pioneer of radio and tele-evangelism, originally taking to the airwaves in the 1930s from Eugene, Oregon. Mr. Armstrong preached an eclectic set of theological doctrines and teachings that came directly from the Bible. His teachings included the interpretation of biblical prophecy and taught observance of God’s Laws, Sabbath (Saturday), and the Biblical “Holy Days”.
